A perfect wrap — in under two minutes.

Winding Machine

The winding machine keeps the thread tension constant while you simply turn the crank. The winding stays even, the pattern stays clean, and that holds from the first reed to the hundredth. What used to take concentration and time becomes routine.

In action

From clamping in to taking off: just under two minutes. And the hundredth reed looks exactly like the first.

Frequently asked

Is the machine available in different colours?

Yes. The six colourways are shown above on this page. Just tell us your preferred colour when you enquire.

How long does it take to wind a reed?

It depends on the user. Thanks to the hand crank, a reed can be wound very quickly without sacrificing quality. As a rule of thumb, expect under two minutes.

Are different base plates available?

Yes. You can choose between a wooden base plate and a 3D-printed base plate.

How does the winding process work step by step?

Our YouTube channel has a how-to video that walks through the entire process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euEsE-CQxrw
